OUR HERITAGE
Schauber's Lumber and Sawmill, Inc. was founded in 1977. The mill was purchased and updated with an eye toward the coming century by Francis and Evelyn Schauber. After starting with a base of only 4 employees the company has matured into a small business which supports 18 employees and their families. We are a rough cut circular sawmill which produces diversified hardwood materials for use in retail and industrial applications. The business is also on the National Historic Register as home of the Sailing Log Canoe "Mystery", the reason why the mill was originally founded.
